Editorial Services
Although providing editorial services to authors is not our
primary focus, we do contract out editorial services to various independent consultants. If your manuscript
requires editing, you can expect to pay a minimum of fifty dollars ($50) per hour for a top quality editor. Prices
of editing services are subject to change without notice based on supply and demand in the marketplace.
Editorial services are arranged on a retainer agreement and require the deposit of monies
in advance (fifty percent of the total estimated cost). An estimate of the maximum number of hours to edit
your manuscript will be provided for your consideration. As the editorial process is being conducted, your
advance funds will be used to pay the editor. If the advance becomes exhausted, you will be asked to advance
additional money. Editorial services will only be provided if there are sufficient funds available to pay
the editor. Should you choose not to provide the required funds; the editing process will be stopped until
you can provide the required money to complete the process. All our editors provide an estimate of the
maximum number of hours needed to edit your book in advance. Each editor also guarantees that your cost
will not exceed that limit for any reason, even if they under-estimated the number of hours.
Please keep in mind that not all manuscripts will require editing. If you
carefully edit your own work, you may not require any editing to your work. As you can see, because of
the cost involved in editing, it is in your best interest to complete as much of the editing as possible. It
will also expedite the publication process if your book is immediately ready for publishing.
